How do I know the reviews are genuine and not fake?↓
Every review goes through three layers of trust before it's published. First, the reviewer must verify their phone number via OTP — anonymous reviews are not allowed. Second, our admin team manually reads every submission and rejects vague, abusive, or suspicious entries. Third, we track reviewer history — a first-time reviewer is flagged differently from someone with 10 approved reviews. We also give nannies the right to dispute any review they believe is false.
Can a nanny delete or hide a bad review about them?↓
No — nannies cannot delete, hide, or approve reviews. All moderation decisions are made exclusively by our admin team. A nanny may flag a review as factually false or defamatory, and our team will investigate within 72 hours. The final decision — whether the review stays or is removed — rests entirely with our admins, not with the nanny. This is what makes our reviews trustworthy: they cannot be managed away by the people they are about.

What happens if I pay ₹999 for a contact and the nanny is unavailable?↓
Your ₹999 credit is non-expiring — it never disappears from your account. If the nanny you contacted is no longer available, your credit stays and you can use it to unlock any other nanny's contact at any time. We recommend confirming availability directly with the nanny before making a decision.
Are there discounts for unlocking multiple contacts?↓
Yes — credits are cheaper when bought in bulk. A single contact unlock is ₹999. Packs of 5 or 15 are available at a lower per-contact price. You can see current pricing on the pricing section of the homepage.
Verification & Safety
Do you do police verification or background checks?↓
Our Bronze tier requires the nanny to upload her Aadhaar card, which our admin team verifies with a face match before approving her profile. Gold tier additionally requires police verification. This is stronger than most agency "background checks," which are often just reference calls. For now, the Bronze badge confirms Aadhaar identity and is the baseline trust signal on our platform.
What do the Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers mean?↓
Bronze means the nanny has uploaded her Aadhaar and been approved by our admin team — her identity is confirmed. Silver is earned automatically when she has 3 or more approved family reviews. Gold requires police verification in addition to Aadhaar. Higher tiers mean a more thoroughly vetted nanny.
After Hiring
What if I'm not happy with the nanny I hired?↓
Unlike agencies, ApniNanny does not charge a replacement fee — because we don't place nannies, we connect you directly. If a hire doesn't work out, you simply unlock another contact. The ₹999 credit model means your second search costs no more than the first. More importantly, write a review — your honest experience helps the next family make a better decision, and it's the engine that makes the whole platform work.
Is ApniNanny involved after I contact the nanny?↓
No — once you unlock a contact, the relationship is entirely yours. You negotiate salary, discuss availability, and agree on terms directly with the nanny. ApniNanny earns nothing on placement, so we have no reason to be involved in your hiring. This is by design.

Registration is free and entirely on WhatsApp — no app, no English needed. Our bot asks 10 simple questions in your language (Hindi, English, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, or Telugu). Is there any fee for nannies to register or appear in search?↓
No — registration is free, profile listing is free, and there is no commission when a family contacts you. ApniNanny charges families for contact unlocks. Nannies pay nothing, ever.
